The importance of baptism

The importance of baptism

For those who want to be fully saved and who wish to see the kingdom of god must understand that confessing Jesus as your lord and believing in your heart can not save you alone. Now the bible says that my people perish because they lack knowledge,
Now we need to understand and apply scriptural principles when accepting Christ and when leading others to Christ or else many will go to hell without knowing.
In Romans 10:9King James Version (KJV) the bible said
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
But in john 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
This means that for you to be fully saved
1.    Accept Jesus as your lord and savior
2.    Believe in your heart that god raised him from the dead
3.    Be baptized
4.    Be filled with the holy ghost

It is possible to be saved and not go to heaven because being saved means that you have confessed Jesus as your master and savior but you cannot enjoy what the master is enjoying because you have not been baptized with water and spirit because in john 3:6 Jesus said, That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Meaning for you to be like him, you must be baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost.
Many of us nowadays are ignorant of this because we don’t study the scriptures. Anybody can confess Jesus as his or her savior but what qualifies you for the kingdom of God is your ability to die and rise with Jesus through baptism.
What is the need of you serving a master and at the end of your service there is no reward? Your most important reward in your faith should be gaining the kingdom of God. Be sure of where you are going from here.

Meaning of the term “Born Again”

The term “born again” refers to a new beginning in the relationship between God and the person who is born again. (John 3:3, 7) God adopts those born again as his children. (Romans 8:15, 16; Galatians 4:5; 1 John 3:1) Similar to those who are legally adopted, they experience a change of status, becoming part of God’s family.—2 Corinthians 6:18.

Why is a person born again?

Jesus said: “Unless anyone is born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God.” (John 3:3) So being born again prepares a person to rule with Christ in God’s Kingdom. This Kingdom rules from heaven, so the Bible describes the “new birth” as providing an inheritance that is “reserved in the heavens.” (1 Peter 1:3, 4) Those who are born again are given the conviction that they will “rule together as kings” with Christ.—2 Timothy 2:12; 2 Corinthians 1:21, 22.

How is a person born again?

When Jesus discussed the subject, he said that those born again would be “born from water and spirit.” (John 3:5) This expression refers to baptism in water followed by baptism with holy spirit.—Acts 1:5; 2:1-4.
Jesus was the first person to be born again. He was baptized in the Jordan River, after which God anointed (or, baptized) him with Holy Spirit. Jesus was thus born again as a spiritual son of God with the hope of returning to life in heaven. (Mark 1:9-11) God fulfilled this hope by resurrecting Jesus as a spirit creature.—Acts 13:33.
Others who are born again are also baptized in water before they receive the Holy Spirit. * (Acts 2:38, 41) they then have the sure hope of life in heaven, which God will fulfill in the resurrection.—1 Corinthians 15:42-49.

Fact: The opportunity to have a relationship with God and gain salvation is open to all. (1 Timothy 2:3, 4; James 4:8) However, God chooses those who will be born again, or anointed with Holy Spirit. According to the Bible, being born again “depends, not on a person’s desire or on his effort, but on God.” (Romans 9:16) The expression “born again” can also be rendered “born from above,” confirming that the selection of those who are born again comes “from above,” or from God.—John 3:3, footnote.

Are we deceiving ourselves?

Are we deceiving ourselves?

Africa is the world's second largest and second most-populous continent. At about 30.3 million km² including adjacent islands, it covers 6% of Earth's total surface area and 20.4% of its total land area.
Nigeria, an African country on the Gulf of Guinea, has many natural landmarks and wildlife reserves. Protected areas such as Cross River National Park and Yankari National Park have waterfalls, dense rainforest, savanna and rare primate habitats. One of the most recognizable sites is Zuma Rock, a 725m-tall monolith outside the capital of Abuja that’s pictured on the national currency.

I pray that this book opens our eyes and change our thinking of how we should end a war that we can’t explain how and when it started.
In recent times, Nigeria has been a country that has been on so many news headlines, not because of the blessings they have acquired but because of the numerous crisis that have been going on even up till now.
So many blamed the political leaders for this crisis, others blamed religious leaders.
I can’t put the blame on anyone but I think that we may have gotten it all mixed up because these two (2) bodies are supposed to work hand in hand in leading the society especially in Nigeria.

Now, I will be writing some things that some may find offensive but it is okay to criticize so long they are some traces of truth.
Nigeria is a country for all, it is not meant for a particular people, region, ethnic group, religion, tribe, or clique.
Some people from the north are trying to make it look as if Nigeria is theirs forgetting that the country is neither their inheritance nor the inheritance of any man but it is for everyone.
The killing that has been carried out so far in Nigeria has mainly been done by terrorist from the northern part of Nigeria and since nothing has been done about it, they move from the north to carry their plan to other region of the country.
Most of these people from the north uses ammunition that are worth millions to carry out their attack but at the end of the day, we hear questions like “who are these people?, what do they want?, who are sponsoring their activities?. Please for God sake lets be sincere to ourselves and say the truth. I dare to say that most of these terrorist are being sponsored by the political people in the northern region, with the aim of taking power to the north they terrorize those who are not northerners. We are only fools when we know the truth but fail to admit it. It is time we make a brave step to stop these blood sucking demons. But can we stop them when we are deceiving ourselves?
The people who are supposed to lead us to stopping them either does not know how or they are stupid thinking that god will come down from heaven to help. There is a parable that “says evil prevail when good men do nothing”. But some of us may ask, if we know the truth they why are we not stopping them? These are some of the reasons we have been unable to stop them.

1.Religious leaders: first of all I will be talking about the Christendom; some of you may pardon me. But I will start by saying that “do not play with what you are supposed to fight with, do not pamper what you are supposed to conquer”.
if you read numbers 21 vs. 21 in the old testament, the bible was talking about how Israel was seeking for permission to pass through a land called Sihon but in vs. 23 the bible said "But Sihon would not allow Israel to pass through his territory. So Sihon gathered all his people together and went out against Israel in the wilderness, and he came to Jahaz and fought against Israel. Then Israel defeated him with the edge of the sword, and took possession of his land from the Arnon to the Jabbok, as far as the people of Ammon".
But Christians today don’t want to fight; they are praying themselves to death allowing blood sucking demons to suck them dry. I know many will say that is Old Testament and in the New Testament, the bible says we fight not against flesh and blood. Some people just quote the bible with little or no understanding. Now look at the chapter carefully “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,[a] against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places”.

Flesh and blood in the bible means carnal things. For example, a man fighting over a woman who is not his wife is fighting for something that can suit and satisfy his flesh. A man fighting over some amount of money is fighting for what can only satisfy his interest.

Principalities and powers.  Principalities in the English dictionary mean authority or position held by a person or by groups of persons. These people could be government in power, head of schools, head of religious body or traditional leaders who are in charge of controlling ordinary people.
And now the bible says we should fight against principalities where these authorities are used as a threat to the society, it is important that we fight. It doesn’t actually have to be a spiritual battle but if situation arise where it is a physical battle, it is important to fight back. But nowadays you hear religious leaders advising their congregation to fold their arms and just watch and pray. I won’t just be watching and allowing some Fulani herdsmen to kill in my community when I can actually defend myself with a weapon. Some people don’t understand this that is why they fall victim to these terrorist. There is a line in the same chapter that says “against the rulers of darkness of this age”. So now how do we fight against the rulers of darkness of this age? First of all we have to admit the truth because you won’t want to fight a person if you have not admitted that the person is your enemy. Secondly you have to be ready to fight whatever and whoever you thing is bad. Jesus said none is good expect God, meaning that whatever is not Godly is bad. Let me say this plain, we can’t keep claiming that we are one nation when the northerners are causing nuisance, the northerners are bad people and bad people only do bad things. They are devils and you don’t negotiate with devils so I will advise every church, school, business organizations to be ready to fight even when they tell you that they don’t want to fight you. Now why will the Fulani herdsmen be giving privilege to ammunitions when we Christians are not even allowed to carry weapons? Christians should be ready to carry guns if they want to survive in the country. Thirdly Churches only want to show case their services on the media with the aim of winning souls. It is not a bad thing but what is the essence of winning a soul if you cannot protect the soul under your roof or under your church. Now the media should also be a means where the church can inform the society about those who want to fight against the body of Christ because the government doesn’t care and so won’t do it for them. Government office holders are more concern with their families and their pocket so should pastors be concern with their congregation and the gospel, don’t wait for the government. So I urge every Christian body to expose the wrong doings of these blood sucking demons from the north. Lastly, pray, in this new generation, people now only pray for finances and material things forgetting that you can’t enjoy these things in a war zone. In the bible, even David would seek the face of God before going to war. I urge every Christian to pray for the nation, rather than praying self-centered prayers, pray for the nation. In Matthew 17:21 the bible says “Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.” There are things that cannot progress except we come and pray with one heart. We must understand the ministry of intercession in Nigeria

2.Political leaders: for the record, I said it, 95 percent of these political leaders are selfish and lazy. They are the number one problem of the country, Nigeria.
With the numerous parties and governmental personnel, we would have hoped that Nigeria should be moving to a point where other countries would wish to be like us.
Most Nigeria leaders are born liars who deceive the society with what propaganda is better than. If it is stipulated that propaganda is an offense with a death sentence, I will have to go for the post of those carrying out the sentence so that I can send many politicians to their master who is Satan the fathers of all liars.
They steal money and then take their families abroad, as if that is not enough, they take bribe and give bribe and this has led to the problem Nigerians are suffering.
                   “Dear politicians, you are took your families abroad after stealing money. You take bribe irrespective of what the consequences may be because you don’t care who it may affect and you give bribe to those who are supposed to be the leaders of tomorrow because you wish to still be elected so that you can keep bribing them even after 20 years forgetting that America is not your home, you are black and not white and one day your children will have to come back to your country because they cannot be allowed to rule in the white man’s land because their fathers were traitors to their own country.
Karma is inevitable and one day it will be you and generation turn”.

                                                                                      Yours faithfully
                                                                                      Iyamu Mavis Omoruyi

Nevertheless, they are still some politicians who are still good and are ready to stand and fight for what is right. I must urge those who are willing to stand up right, those who are willing to make Nigeria a proud nation, those who want people to respect them because they once led the country, those who want to look back and be proud of themselves, those who want their children to be proud that their fathers fought for their nation to stand up and fight for the Nigeria because one day your children will have to inherit what you have sown.
I urge also the society to abstain from any kind of money that will lead you into destroying the country. Heroes are real and you can be one.
For those who are avoiding trouble, what are you afraid of? What more can be worst? You fight now and your generations live peacefully or you fear now and your generation continues to fight the fight you refused to fight?

7 signs that the pastor is using the church for his personal gain

I believe very strongly that God wants to bless His people and give them an abundant life (John 10:10). I also believe poverty is a curse and something the gospel reverses when biblical principles are applied properly.
Furthermore, I do not believe pastors and church ministers should take a vow of poverty and that churches should give ample compensation to their lead pastors. That being said, I have been appalled by what I am calling in this article "prosperity pimps"—which are those who use the word of God primarily as a means of personal profit (1 Tim. 6: 5).

The following are seven signs of prosperity pimps:

1.     When the focus of the ministry is always raising money

I have no issue with churches and ministries taking large segments of a service at times to raise money. After all, without money ministry cannot continue. What I am referring to in this point is the fact that some preachers use their platform to be purveyors of "prosperity" every time they minister.
When raising money is the primary focus of a minister every time they have a platform—that is a red flag to me (and a sign they may be a prosperity pimp!).

2. When money is used to obtain a blessing

There are some so-called prophets who charge money for personal prophecies (more money is for a "life-transforming word" than for a regular word from "God").
The apostle Peter rebuked Simon Magus when he attempted to purchase the gift of God with money (Acts 8). God judged Christianity and used Martin Luther to launch the Protestant Reformation because the Roman Catholic Church was practicing "indulgences" which was a way of purchasing an exemption from punishment for some types of sins.
In spite of these biblical and historical facts, some religious leaders still preach and/or practice the sin of "Simony" in their ministry.

3. When the leader lives lavishly off the church salary

Although I believe a church or ministry should provide ample compensation for its leader (the apostle Paul calls it "double honor" in 1 Tim. 5), prosperity pimps receive huge salaries from tithes and offerings to support their lavish lifestyle. This is especially egregious when said pastor is ministering in a poor community, since they are living luxuriously off the backs of people who can barely pay their rent!
(In high-end economic communities, a wealthy church is expected to grant a larger than usual salary to their pastor so they can comport with the culture of the congregation.) However, lest we be quick to judge pastors who have a high standard of living—many have other forms of income (such as speaking engagements, book sales, personal businesses and other forms of income to supplement their church salary) so that they do not place an undue financial burden upon their congregation. Some wealthy pastors I know don't even receive a salary from their church because their outside business is so lucrative.

4. When the Bible is twisted to prove a point

The Bible talks about money a lot, since it is a primary means of growing in biblical stewardship. Most of Jesus' parables dealt with the use of money, and Paul devoted two whole chapters to giving offerings (2 Cor. 8, 9) and only one whole chapter on "the greatest of all things" which is love (1 Cor. 13).
That being said, "prosperity pimps" typically distort Scripture and prove text biblical passages to overstate a point they are trying to make (most likely regarding the blessing of sowing into their ministry).

5. When only certain biblical topics are preached

Some ministers I have heard only talk about money and prosperity week after week—even though they are supposed to shepherd their congregation by feeding them the whole counsel of God. (Many take up to three offerings per service and spend more time raising money than teaching the Word!)
(If a person is an itinerant minister whose specialty is raising money for churches and/or teaching on financial stewardship, then focusing on money every week in various churches is acceptable, in my opinion; I am referring in this point to a lead pastor and their congregation).
Also, prosperity pimps will only preach on subjects that will motivate the congregation to give financially—and usually avoid biblical passages dealing with holiness, repentance and taking up the cross. (In some of these ministries, the church is viewed more as a business than a family of families.)

6. When there is no financial accountability

Prosperity pimps usually never give financial reports and disclose their ministry expenses to their audience—and are not usually accountable to a legitimate trustee board.
If they do have a board, it is a "captive board" made up of family members or those who have vested interest in the way the church business is conducted.

7. When the needy are not empowered by the ministry

Finally, one of the primary signs of a "prosperity pimp" is the fact that they are in the ministry solely for their own gratification.
While biblical leaders and churches empower the poor and elevate the quality of life of their community—prosperity pimps function as parasites who suck the finances out of their congregation and community.

Have i lost my wife to another man?

```````HAVE I LOST MY WIFE TO ANOTHER MAN?
Dave and Clara have been married 4 over nine years without children. They stayed with each other and hoped that they will have a child before their 10th year of marriage because they were being persuaded by family and some friends to get a divorce but they couldn’t let go because of the love between them. Months passed…by and while Dave was returning from work one day, he saw his wife walking down the road with a man and they looked happy.
Another evening, while Dave was coming back from work, he saw the same man drop her off at the house. Dave became angry and sad.
Two days later, after a hectic day at work, Dave was taking water with a glass jug when the phone rang. He picked it up and the person said ‘hello dear, I’ll be coming to your house this evening to see you as promised. I hope and then Dave hung up the phone.
It was a male voice. He was sure the person was the man he had seen with his wife. He suddenly became shaky with this thought, ‘’Have I lost my wife to another man?’’ At that point, the glass jug fell from his hand and shattered into pieces. Then Clara came running into the room asking, ‘’Is everything okay?’’ In anger he gave his wife a push and she fell. She wasn’t moving or getting up. Dave then realised that she fell where he broke the glass jug and a large piece of glass has pierced her. He felt her breath, pulse and heartbeat but there she lay lifeless. His wife was dead.  In total confusion, he saw an envelope in her hand. He took it, opened it and was shocked by its content. It was a letter and it reads:‘’ My loving husband, words cannot express how I feel, so i had to write it down. I have been going to see a doctor for over a week and wanted to be sure before I give you the news. The doctor confirmed it that I am pregnant with a twin and our babies are due in 7 months from now. The doctor also happen to be my long lost brother whom I lost contact with after our marriage. He has promised to take care of me and our babies and give us the best without collecting a dime. He also promised to have dinner with us today. Thanks to you for standing by me your loving wife. As the letter fell from Dave’s hand, there was a knock at the door and it was the same man he had seen with his wife and he said ’’ hello Dave, I suppose am right, am Max, your wife’s brother…..’’And suddenly he noticed his sister in the pool of her blood …. He rushed her to his hospital but it was too late, his sister, Dave’s wife was gone and so were the twins..
LESSON: In our relationships, which include our marriage, we should not be too quick in reacting when we haven’t questioned our partner or spouse on what we saw or heard about them.
Communication, Trust and Patience are rare gifts we can bring to our relationship.
Not everything we see or hear or believe is right about them.  And to every man or woman on dis platform, I pray that patience will have her perfect way in you and you will want nothing because patience is that great virtue you need to keep any relationship working.
John Knox prayed: “Lord, Give me Scotland or I
die”…
St Patrick, a rugged believer that Brought even
dead animals and trees back to life prayed:
“God, Give me souls or give me nothing else”….
Brethren during the Hebrides revival prayed:”
Lord, If you will not use us, please, kill us”…
The brethren from England who brought the Fire from Azusa Street revival
gathered everyday under the terrible cold… Their
only prayer topic was: “Lord, give us men that
will spread Your Fire in the streets of England”…
During the Indonesia Revival, those hungry hearts
were seen praying day and night:”
Lord, The
harvest is ripe… If it pleases You, please use us”.
One prayer that was common during the days of
William Seymour was: “Lord, this is another day
that hell must lose men and women. Please, we
are here. Use us”…
Paul  said:” Woe is me if I preach not the gospel”
Rachel said to her husband, Jacob: “Give me children or I die”
But unfortunately, our churches are filled today with people who are not ashamed of spiritual barrenness… We are asking “God give me money. God give me spouse, God give me visa”. Where do we see believers again that will be praying and fasting, and when you listen to them, you will be hearing:” Lord, let Your Fire fall in my community and let their be revival”? When Paul encountered Christ, he fell and rose. What He asked was:” Lord, what will You have me do”… But today, when we fall under anointing, we stand to start expecting marriage proposals and visas and employment letters. Man of God, this generation of members in our churches have not had a genuine encounter with the Man of Calvary.. No generation has carried Bibles like us without opening it… No generation is materially driven like ours and we expect the land to obey us. Jesus said, pray to the Father that He brings His Kingdom on earth. GOD help us to get it on time. Amen. Isn’t it strange how N500 seems like such a large amount when we give it as offering, BUT such a small amount when u go shopping?
the use and benefit of castor oil
```Benefits of Castor Oil for Hair and Skin

Castor oil is an age old beauty treatment that has been largely replaced over time by fancier beauty products with more ingredients and a bigger price tag.
Castor oil has natural antibacterial and antifungal properties and is high in Vitamin E, minerals, proteins, and Omega 6 and 9 beneficial fatty acids. Its unusually high ricin oleic acid ratio makes it beneficial to skin and hair.

In fact, castor oil has traditionally been used topically for acne and other skin conditions, as well as hair loss, rashes and more.

````What Does Castor Oil Do for the Hair?
Castor oil can be used on the scalp to help prevent and remedy hair loss and it is effective at this for several reasons. It’s antibacterial and anti-fungal properties make it beneficial against folliculitis, dandruff and scalp infections and its ricin oleic acid content helps increase circulation to the scalp and improve hair growth.
Ricin oleic acid is also said to help balance scalp pH which can also help replenish the scalp’s natural oils and undo some of the damage of harsh chemical hair products (and even damage from no-poo, due to over alkalinity). The antioxidants in castor oil also support the keratin in hair and help make hair stronger, smoother and less frizzy.
“Three Times the Growth!”
There are hundreds of testimonials from people who used castor oil to increase their hair growth 3-5x the normal rate. A friend of mine was struggling with postpartum hair loss and even once her hair loss slowed, regrowing her hair was difficult.
She measured her hair growth for a month and it grew almost half an inch. The next month, after using castor oil hair treatments twice a week, her hair had grown almost 2 inches. She tested this again the following month and noticed the same result and that her hair was dramatically thicker.
What Type of Castor Oil for Hair?
There are several options for castor oil hair treatments. I prefer to make my own, but there are some pre-made options (this is a good one that I’ve tried in the past).
To make my own, I mix castor oil with another hair-healthy oil (options listed below) and herbs to help support scalp health. Unrefined and cold pressed hexane free castor oil is preferred.
Castor oil is extremely thick and viscous so I prefer to mix with jojoba or argan oil in a glass dropper bottle for easy application.
Jamaican Black Castor Oil:
There is a special type of castor oil called Jamaican Black Castor oil that has extremely good reviews. I tried it as well and it seemed to work about the same as regular castor oil on my hair, but it seems that it might provide additional benefit for those with thick or dry hair (my hair is fine/oily).
How to Use Castor Oil Treatments on Hair
Castor oil can be very beneficial for hair growth if used correctly. Small amounts of plain oil can be used for an all-over treatment. Like many things in life, more is not always better, and only a few drops are needed per treatment. The additional oils are completely optional.
How Often
I personally use this castor oil 1-2x per week. It can be used more often, though I didn’t see any increased results with using it daily.
When to Use
I’ve found that this treatment works better on damp but not wet hair. I keep a spray bottle of water in the bathroom and just spritz my roots before applying.
For maximum benefit, I leave the treatment on for several hours or overnight. After applying, I use a shower cap or towel to avoid getting the oil on furniture or a pillow.
How to Remove the Oil
Removing the castor oil can be difficult, especially with natural shampoos. I’ve found that using a small amount and leaving it on overnight will result in most of the oil absorbing into the hair and scalp and make cleanup easier. In fact, I’ve been able to dry shampoo and not wash on a few occasions. When I do shampoo, I use a natural shampoo or mud shampoo as normal.
An alternate way is to crack an egg and whisk until smooth and then massage the egg into the scalp. This helps break down the oil and adds additional nutrients to the hair. It is messy though, so I’d recommend doing this in the shower.
Another less-messy way is to condition your hair before getting in the shower, massaging conditioner into the scalp to help remove the castor oil. Then, shampoo as usual.
Important Notes:
With any new oil, herb or product, test a tiny amount on your inner arm to make sure you don’t have a reaction to castor oil. While reactions are rare, some people will notice irritation from castor oil.
I’ve also used this in combination with my hair growth serum with great results (I use the serum first to dampen hair, then apply the castor oil)
It is also important to support the body nutritionally and hormonally with hair loss, as this can often be a sign of an internal problem.
BONUS TIP:  I rub a tiny amount of castor oil on my eyelids at night to help eyelash growth as well. It is also part of my eyelash growth serum recipe.
Castor Oil Hair Serum Recipe
Finding your best combination of oils (or castor oil alone) will require some experimentation and I’d love to hear what you find works best for you. My favorite mix is:
•        3 Tablespoons of Castor Oil
•        1 Tablespoon  Jojoba Oil or Argon Oil
Castor Oil Instructions
1.       Mix ingredients in a dark colored dropper bottle.
2.       Shake to mix.
3.       Use the dropper to apply to the scalp. I part my hair right above the ear on one side, add a few drops of castor oil, part again about 1/2 inch from that part, add more castor oil, and so on until I’ve coated my whole scalp.
4.       Then, I massage for 5 minutes to make sure entire scalp is coated and to help increase circulation.
Note: This will make enough for 5+ uses depending on the length of your hair.
If you’re not a fan of using castor oil, some people have found coconut oil for hair to be a better fit.
tonto dikeh beautiful message
*Good morning beautiful people of God
An Entirely New Life! *Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).* The term “born again” isn’t a religious cliché, which connotes turning over a new leaf. When you ask some Christians how they know they’re born again, some would reply, “I know I’m born again, because the bad things I used to do, I do them no more. I’ve changed my ways, and now, I behave differently.” Being born again is much more than that. What you receive when you’re born again is an entirely new life. There’s no such thing as “The bad things I used to do, I do them no more,” because the person who did those things is dead. He doesn’t exist anymore.
When you received Christ into your life, something actually happened: your spirit was recreated. You were born of the Word of God and of the Spirit of God. You now have the life, nature and character of God. And when a man has the life, nature and character of God, he can only live like God. So, being born again is actually receiving the God-nature; becoming an associate of the God-kind.
Romans 6:6 says, “Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.” Your old life or nature isn’t suspended; it’s dead; you’ve come up a new man; a new species of being; one that never existed before; one without a past. In the presence of God, everything you were before you were born again, and everything you did before you were born again has no record. This isn’t a promise. This is a statement of fact in the Word.
If you’re ignorant of this, you could be struggling with your past or with the sins you committed before you were born again. This, invariably, could make you ineffective in the things of God. No; you’re not a sinner. You’re the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, because you’re born again (2 Corinthians 5:21).
